Never realised it was compulsory to vvank after eating beans on toast. Though seems obvious now Does the rule still count if you add chorizo to it?

That's better than feeling a tad incontinental after eating.

And you can't count each baked bean individually, apparently.

No chorizo here but I melt a large knob (ooo-err) of butter in mine, and cook on the hob for 15mins or so until they’ve thickened and turned a kind of electric orange, beautiful

A cheese sandwich for me too. And a mug of strong tea. Strength 6 cheddar, good quality butter and even yesterday’s bread is ok. Now and again something really simple like that just hits the spot.

Well, the quiche, bistro style salad, bagel (awful things), Sesame Street seeds and honey mustard sludge can all go in the bin. The balsamic onion and roasted garlic may remain. Just add something nice thing to mangle with it, eat at a reasonable hour and you’ll feel good about life and Jay Tabb.

Now a new trick to liven up baked beans. I used to apply pepper, a smidgeon of chilli powder. And a similar amount of Chat Masala. Lovely. But you can save yourself all that fiddling about. To one tin of beans add a level teaspoon of Nando’s peri peri hot sauce. Perfect. Just enough heat and flavour, not too much. Works first time every time. Try it, you’ll thank me.

I regularly do that... If KJ and I are having the simple delight of beans on toast, I have to serve hers up first, and then I add some crushed chilli flakes, some black pepper, a little bit of Bbq sauce and mix it in before serving mine. A late alternative is as you say, some Nando's "Peri Peri sauce with garlic" instead of the separate items.
