Minute’s applause for Jonathan Beitsprecher 17:11 - Oct 8 with 1948 viewsnoubledooble

This Saturday, we’re asking the Blue Army to come together for Jon. 💙

Jon was a regular in S5 and someone who truly lived and breathed Ipswich Town. Sadly, he lost his battle with MND at the weekend. I also believe he posted on here in the past.

We’re organising a minute’s applause on 50 minutes to remember Jon and give him the send off he deserves.

Please share this and help spread the word so as many Town fans as possible can get involved. 🕊️💙🤍

Once a Blue, always a Blue. 💙

I played football with Jonny and his brother Paul many years ago. Lovely people. Sad sad news. RIP.

Jon worked at the same company as me and while our paths didn't cross very often, he always came across as a decent bloke.

RIP

Was Paul a huge Liverpool fan ? If so I worked with him briefly in my teens…. That’s very upsetting RIP

He certainly was when I knew him. Don't know if he has seen the light since then though.

I'm sure Phil and team will pick up on this but have you contacted Marcus Nash at the club as well, he has supported many similar initiatives?

Yes have contacted Marcus Nash he said that a picture will be on the big screen before the game and at half time. The applause will need to be fan led. My guess is that the screen can’t be used during the game in case of a VAR decision

That can’t be right… Everton put Noah on their big screen during play.

RIP Jon, sorry to hear that, I hope the Fulham fans are aware and can replicate what Everton did last month.

How many ‘big’ screens do Everton have in their brand new stadium?
And are they big enough to display a picture and still show everything they need to?

I suspect the answer to each is - more than we have and much bigger than we have.

It’s not a problem, I’m sure the applause will follow.

Two massive screens at each end, the tribute took up the whole screen.

I think the clubs stance is they don’t want to start doing that for one as would have to do it for everyone I guess.

Minutes applause like this occasion are usually just purely fan led.

Noah’s tribute took up all of both screens.
