I know KMK was working under completely different circumstances but I think this is the biggest difference between the two. GON is more than happy to throw caution to the wind and chuck every attacking player possible on which is really good to see

Just not true, in the double promotion seasons he frequently changed players and formations to win games late on. Might rarely have gone to 4-4-2 but tweaked the midfield and wide positions often. The challenge in the prem season was we did not have the depth of quality we have this time around, and last season we played against deep defences almost all season, and again did not have that variety of player.

Flemming was almost in left back at times. Dropped very deep to help with defending and to fetch the ball.

Very obviously not a 442. We just had 2 players generally considered strikers on the pitch at the same time.

GON was able to bring on Palacios, Fleming, Clarke. Not Harness, Jackson and Al Hamadi.

(No disrespect to those guys but different level).
