At least three decisions went against them, the hair pull, the pen on Awoniyi and the handball goal. I’m glad they lost but if that had been us, this forum would’ve been on fire.

| Eve v Cov on 07:58 - Nov 7 with 0 views | SheffordBlue | There seems to have been a big shift in the bar for VAR to intervene this season. I think that in most instances the VAR look at it at 'normal' speed rather than slowed down and unless there is a really obvious error then they stick with referees call. I think they should just get rid of VAR but do think it's more broadly in line with what was intended now - it's just a big shift (and still not being done entirely consistently) from previous season when a high number of decisions were being re-referee'd. | |

| Eve v Cov on 08:10 - Nov 7 with 0 views | bsw72 | Awonyi was outside the box, so not sure how that could be considered a penalty claim, as for the handball goal, pretty sure if it had been ruled out, a penalty would have been awarded for the pull on Barry’s shirt by the defender anyway. He’s a proper whinger Lampard. | | | |
| Eve v Cov on 08:34 - Nov 7 with 0 views | sohamblue74 | Feels a bit like us two seasons ago. Playing well in patches, running out of steam in last 25, 30 mins when subs come on. Failing to take chances, letting in soft goals. Fine margins, etc. Rushworth is terrible and a big waste of money. Awonyi is a big lump and was expensive too. Some of the other players look decent tbf. Never really rated Rudoni, but he seems to be stepping up pretty well. Media love in for Lampard is still rather nauseating. | | | |

Looked outside to me and the hair pull was very minimal and hardly noticeable, just that the player went down like his whole har had been pulled off - maybe being so dramatic doesn't help. Lampard does love a good moan though

Rushworth cost £22.5M. Now that was a brilliant bit of business by Brighton.

From what I understand it's a deliberate policy decision to dial back on the intervention by VAR. Also not to go into such minute detail in trying to overturn the Ref's on-field decision. A big improvement, in my view.

In my view, the ref Stuart Attwell got all those decisions right. There was simply no handball, the Hair pull was very accidental and minimal, and the penalty claim was extremely weak. Never been a fan of Stuart Attwell, but last night he got those right.

Hendrie is certainly another member of the Lampard fan club.
| Eve v Cov on 11:43 - Nov 7 with 0 views | pointofblue | It irritates me so much is being made of the so called missed decisions last night but nothing's been said - O'Neil aside - about those which went against us last week. | |

| Eve v Cov on 11:57 - Nov 7 with 0 views | SE1blue | Hmmm. For the last 30 minutes it was all Everton - Coventry faded for nothing. And I don’t know who it was on their left wing but they can’t trap or control a ball to save their life. Once Rudoni tires, they’re cooked. | |

| Eve v Cov on 12:46 - Nov 7 with 0 views | Garv | Every team has decisions go against them. These you've described are all marginal, fans have to get over it. This 'woe is me' culture is unbearable. Tarkowski has his hand on the guys hair for a second, it's nowhere near the goal and the impact is little to non existent. Ask yourself, as a neutral, do you really want to see penalties given for that? The supposed handball, inconclusive. Again, really want to see goals chalked off for stuff like that? The Awoniyi tackle is the biggest talking point probably, but it was deemed to be outside the box I think? Plus, they went 1-0 up a few minutes later anyway. Get over it. | |
