| Keep Britain tidy. 09:45 - Nov 7 with 2248 views | BanksterDebtSlave | I have been looking after my Mum all week after a fall, it was pretty grim when I got here but I'll spare the gory details. Anyhow, a moment of much needed levity. I was just in the hardware shop in a local flag hanging zone and was pleased to see how tatty and bedraggled they had become. Mentioned this to the Asian heritage shopkeeper who said that to be fair he had sold them thousands of cable ties and that one of them had fallen from a ladder and broken his leg. He was keen for the flags to be refreshed and has told the chief flag shagger as much. Keep Britain tidy shaggers, take the bedraggled things down ffs. | |

Always seems a bit desperate to me, not sure why anybody needs to demonstrate that sort of shallow insecurity. We all know where we are and who we are. A bit like walking down the street shouting "I'm English!", or whatever, all the time, until your voice is hoarse.

| Keep Britain tidy. on 11:52 - Nov 7 by BlueMoon | I agree. As a country we should take back control - it's sad that the national flag has been corrupted such that it's now a symbol of the racist minority. Go to The US or France (to name a couple) and flag flying is done with a sense of pride & at scale. Here we've allowed the St. George's flag to be hijacked by xenophobes, not sure if the Union Flag has been to the same degree. It all started with the combination of the ultra-pc lot saying not to raise flags and racists being the only ones who did... |
(Two of the more racist countries in the world)

They make sod all difference to people’s lives. It’s thousands of poppies everywhere now though instead. Same principle - just a huge waste of resources and money, will end up looking tatty and don’t add anything to Remembrance. |
Now it’s poppies you seem to dislike? I’ve got my beautiful poppy pin badge I will wear it with pride at today’s Remembrance service on the village green, and honour the poor souls who gave their lives for this once great country.

He never said that he dislikes poppies just that there seems to be excessive poppies around which end up on the pavement.

Always those who make the most noise about poppies who are the biggest disgrace to the memory of remembrance isn’t it? See it online today and all this week. Two Irish female footballers have chosen not to wear one this weekend and you can imagine the comments.

..or in the case of the star-spangled banner, rising up off all fours for a moment, panting and grunting "Ewe essay, ewe essay!", with beetled brows and bright red blubber bursting out of your Maga t-shirt and denims!

Did it spark a lively yet considered debate in which opposing views were listened to in a mature manner?
| Keep Britain tidy. on 09:21 - Nov 8 | DanTheMan | No issues with people flying flags or wanting more of them, especially if it's their own home, go wild. Not my cup of tea but it doesn't bother me. It does bother me that around me there are lots of grey, tattered and crap looking flags from the craze. Real pride in your country lads, eh? Looks worse than it did with no flags. | |
