If the club had any ambition or idea to rid themselves of McCarthy (before start of new season) they would have done it by now. Put it another way, they're satisfied he's the right candidate to lead us on and it wouldn't be no surprise to see his sorry ass in position going into a new year.
Any owner with a degree of sight and ambition would blatantly see we're making no progress and McCarthy has long outstayed his welcome, but Marcus Evans seems long oblivious to the problem ?

Well er, McCarthy rarely plays to win, shows a total contempt for proper progress, deems a point as good as a victory, often doesn't know his best starting XI, plays 'favorites' too often, and seems insistent having the ball in the air more often than ground level is the best way forward..
Don't get me wrong, caught just about every game last season and if there's any oversights or error in the above then by all means rectify.
Bottom line it's essential the club should have brought in someone with a much higher ambition and drive than what we still possess. Not to kick the individual further while he's down, but Mick McCarthy offers mundane stability : and not a whole lot else. | | | |

We were bottom of the league and winless after 13/14 or whatever it was and Keane still didn't get the sack that season.

I think we need to be aiming for top 10 this season and anything else should see MM lose his job. Even though we've got a bottom half wage and transfer budget, with another striker this squad should have enough about it for a decent manager to have a run at the top 10. | |

I disagree. It won't be easy by any means but miraculous is a huge stretch. Last season was very poor and we were 9 points off a top 10 finish after basically giving up on our last 3 games of the season. It still amazes me that after 15 years in this league people still don't really grasp how tight it is. | |
