I found myself in The Pinewood hood yesterday so popped into something called Aldi.
I purchased 3 Camemberts @ .89p each, has anyone had these? Can they be any good at that price? I think I normally pay about £2.50 ea
They smell ok, well that is to say that every time the fridge door is opened they stink the house out. They seem quite ripe! |  |

The Camemberts - whilst not quite as nice as Waitrose - were very nice and a third of the price.

Try the Gorgonzola Piccante. Nice and sharp. They also do a dolce version for those who prefer milder blue cheese.
And the salt crystal cheddar is good to.
Aldi and Lidl are better than Sainsbury's or Tesco's for cheese, cured continental meats (especially chorizo) and vegetables.
And WAAAAAY better than Morrisons or Asda.
Don't have a Waitrose in my town and am not going to drive 10 miles for "Essential Taramasalata" when I can walk to three supermarkets. |  | | |

Yes, must admit I do like Aldi and Lidl for cheese and meat, one of the best steaks I had for ages was from Aldi. | |
