You're not fit to wear the shirt! 14:28 - Mar 3 with 2143 viewsPendejo

Has this been sung this season?

Unlike 94/95 and 2001/02 we haven't suffered any fearsome spankings yet have we?

In 94/95 we shipped 4 goals or more on 7 occasions
In 01/02 it was 4 times

This season the worst we've conceded [thus far] is 3 [5 occasions], sp defensively not as bad as we have been?... and we just can't seem to score.

So has this been sung this season? If not, why not? Not saying it should [at least until after the last final whistle of the last game of the season] but surely it'd be true?

In fact I think it quite heartening that the vocal support seems to be getting stronger - we're not zombies anymore?

"not as bad as we have been".

We are struggling at the foot of the Championship. That is very different from getting relegated from the Premier League. I think this is the worst we have been for many years. However, there has been a sense that the players we have are trying their best. I think the chant is more aimed at players when they are not trying.

OK I can go with that.

Perceived lack of effort -> you're not fit to wear the shirt!

Plenty of effort, but simply not good enough... NOT fit to wear the shirt but also respect for honest toilers, so no need for the disparaging singing.

Again I have to say I am heartened by the way the town support has taken this season.

COYB!

This is the worst Town side in my life time I'd say, but they do seem to be trying at least.

Genuine question, would you like to see Lambert replaced now?

....until we've flogged a few season tickets.

Let him do the marketing for the club. He can chuck out a few motivational cliches about what he's going to do next season, get some endorsements from ex players, possibly even arrange for some freebies for local schools.

Once we've got the numbers up then we can ship him out.

He's a total fraud.

It's a 'he's not done enough to convince me he needs to go yet' or a 'what other options have we got'.
At the moment, there's very little other than the pretty-much-hopeless position he inherited, some lovely PR and Improved Performances(the new 'playoff form') to recommend him.

That’s the thing isn’t it?

This isn’t a poor side due to a lack of effort & I think that even though Lambert has been great in generating the current positive atmosphere & good will I think a huge part in that has also been the effort put in by the players each week.

They’re just not good enough, unfortunately.
