That’s just a badly coached team being beaten by a well coached team today

Two words: Technical and Sh!t-ref by BlueBadger 7 Mar 2020 15:56
I don't think they're any more 'technical' than us, they're just better managed, playing in a settled XI to a settled system.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Said it loads of time on here and in the ground. The players are only as good as the coaches and manager. The side is shocking, so that must mean that the coaches and manager must be totally sh1t.

Nail on head.
Which is why I felt justified in offering the players a low-key applause at the end. They did what they could. But they looked like a bunch of players thrown together up against a bunch of players who have developed together into a team. They look sluggish and unfit, but I can’t for one minute feel that they want to be like that. They play like they have been coached poorly.

Very harsh, we were a team without a striker, did everything but score today.

How many saves did their keeper make?

2nd best chance of the game was their scorer who blazed over early in the second half

Problem is, nobody else is stepping up to put the ball in the net, either.

Gill has a good reputation in the game so I believe, but I've not heard first hand from anyone on how heisasa coach.

If Taylor coaches like he acts on the touchline then I dread to think what his sessions are like (this might be harsh).

Theres something seriously wrong though, whilst I dont think we have the the right ingredients going forward, weshould before of a threat than we are.

Forget the strikers the bigger issue is chance creation, our crossing is abysmal, we dont do anything off the cuff, hardly shoot from long range, we are slow in moving g the ball around.

The intent is there but we arent good enough or either the coaching is poor or we are over coached.

Lambert has never been known as a footballing type of manager, more blood and thunder and counter attacking.

Think about how Spurs look without Kane, how Watford look without Deeny, how Leicester look without Vardy, a team without a striker who can hold the ball up are a shadow of the team with that man up front. For me the biggest mistake Town made was in the transfer window not signing the "big man up front" type striker and with PL playing Ty Simpson up front it seems he agrees with the need for this type of player, unfortunately Simpson is lacking experience in the role.

What about the games where we weren't missing them? Remember those games? The ones where we barely had a shot on target?

What possesses people to STILL make excuses for Lambert? The interviews last season weren't THAT good.

It's not about Lambert. It's still about Mick. I genuinely believe that's the case for some.

We were sh1te under Mick, we were sh1te under Keane, we were sh1te under Jewell, we were sh1te under that fella from Shrewsbury and we're sh1te under Lambert. We're just a sh1te football club with a sh1te owner.
