Anyone need cheering up? on 17:21 - May 1 by Illinoisblue
Three observations: given how great he became for us it’s interesting how little Marcus Stewart appears on the highlights.
Has Paul Ritchie ever explained why he thought throwing DJ to the floor in the penalty area was a good idea?
Even after hundreds of times seeing it, when Reuser’s goal goes in I get a lump in my throat and a tingle down my spine.
Those were indeed the days.
An unbelievable night. I still have vivid memory of looking up from the Portman (Cobbold) Stand looking at the scoreboard on 90 minutes, looking at 'Ipswich 2 Bolton 3' and thinking 'Not again, surely not again' and thinking we'd never get out of this sodding division'.
Then everything just went crazy. People celebrating on top of the executive boxes which hadn't been seen since Leicester's Hare Krishna afternoon.
The only downside was not being able to get a drink anywhere after.

At that exact point I was thinking the same thing ...and ripped off my necklace and threw it to the floor in anger. Literally a second later Mogga nodded down and Jim shinned it into the bottom corner. Unbelievable. We refused to die that night.

I was swearing at the sky cursing Sheepshanks and then the magic happened.

I think we ended up in Brannigans eventually after a friendly bouncer let us jump the queue

Johnson was on far better form than Stewart going into the play-offs, we were wondering if we'd wasted our money, obviously the two superb goals in the away leg had shown us what Stewart could do, but he didn't become the main man until the premier league.
