Anyone returned to the gym yet? on 09:45 - Aug 7 with 1482 views | hype313 | I bought myself a bench and some weights as lockdown hit, got a few other bits and pieces and some decent Kettlebells, so I won't be returning to the Gym, saving a few quid too.

Anyone returned to the gym yet? on 09:53 - Aug 7 with 1458 views | itfcjoe | Mine is fine, but I’ve only done classes and swimming so not been in the actual gym - but they have separated it into 3 gyms there now and really spread it out across the facility

Anyone returned to the gym yet? on 12:00 - Aug 7 with 1323 views | Ftnfwest | Mrs F has gone back for her 4 visits per week, thank god. Instead of running with her which comprises running 400m then waiting for her to catch up etc over the course of 5-6k, i'm back to normal running on my own and losing some of the lockdown weight gain. Feedback from the local Nuffield she's a member of is that about a third have cancelled memberships.
Anyone returned to the gym yet? on 12:06 - Aug 7 with 1312 views | Kieran_Knows | Yes, have been back the last couple of weeks. A few machines have been removed from the floor, but other than that all as normal. Not sure about other gyms, but we already had anti-bac spray to wipe down machines (which I always used too as I'm a sweaty b*stard). So again, nothing new there. Fitness wise all good, spent the first 6 weeks of lockdown eating and drinking way more than I should've. But managed to get out running and home workouts and managed to lose a stone, which I'm quite happy with. Best thing is having squash back though, 4 months without that was a killer for me. It helped my lose 3 stone, 4 years ago and ever since then have managed to play once/twice a week which is what keeps the weight off me. So not having that for 4 months was a big thing!

Anyone returned to the gym yet? on 12:19 - Aug 7 with 1283 views | TractorWood | The pool close to me is open again now. I'm a pretty keen swimmer. They are doing pre-bookable hour sessions with 20 people max with 3 lanes. They seem to close the pool and changing rooms for an hour between sessions for cleaning. The changing rooms were cleaned to within an inch of their lives on both of my visits. Can't use the showers but that makes sense to me.

Likewise. When the Gym closed I brought the Gym to home and put in a treadmill, cross trainer and indoor bike. Doing two mini triathlons (20 min cross, 20 min run in treadmill, 20 min bike) each week plus a six mile run in the middle. Fitter than when lockdown started 😃 and the equipment lays for itself with two years Gym membership I won’t be taking. [Post edited 7 Aug 2020 12:42]

Anyone returned to the gym yet? on 14:52 - Aug 7 with 1140 views | thebooks | It's really good being back, going to loads of classes. It's a lot nicer as there aren't millions of kids around and the restaurant is nearly empty. Classes half full because of SD. I don't really understand how it's safe, tbh. You're still in a confined space sweating away and breathing your germs out. The distancing is pretty minimal, just as it is everywhere else.
