Just in case anyone's wondering, the news was largely 'same as before.' There might be something there, they're not quite sure, come back for another test in 3 months. He's had several of these and is getting a bit fed up with it (it's the 'tube up the knob routine').
I'm not looking forward to getting old at all.
To be fair, he's 83 and fit as a fiddle in every other way. So mustn't grumble. Apologies if I've been a bit arsey.

Yeah. I've been so lucky that apart from one nan and my best mate's mum, I've not had anyone major die on me. I'm almost 48 so that's pretty good going. Don't know how I'll cope but am acutely aware that my parents, as fit as they are, won't live forever. It's a big part of my motivation for getting the book done and published, so my dad can see it out there in the shops before he goes.
