Rochdale last year did well, considering their stature ...
However - due to Basket Clubs Bolton, Saafend and Bury there was really only 1 relegation place - having O'Connell in the back line kept the goals against column down and kept them in the game on a fair few occasions.
Having the "Wily old" Ian Henderson to feed on scraps, win headers and put away spot kicks, was the other major factor.
I am often wrong, but I would't be too surprised to see the Dale in the bottom 4 at the end of the season.

I thought Williams was the standout and then saw they released him this summer (given how thigns have worked out we probably don't need him now) but both them and the wonderkid were the ones who I thought looked like they'd leave for bigger things. |  |

I think he was covering so much ground as youngsters tend to do, once he learns how to time those runs and when they are worth making he'll be ready for the Champ or higher.
Should we get promoted it will be itneresting to see what we do with the squad and if teams like Rochdale are where we shop. Not that we'd get him, he's off to the big boys. | |
