Surely no one can seriously think lamberts the man for the job anymore.. 17:44 - Oct 24 with 1321 viewsbazza

We went down with a whimper, we went out out with a whimper, we’re off to a whimper. And our squad isn’t as poor as some of the performances .!!

Probably not no, I don’t think he’s the man, or if I do it’s hanging by the smallest of threads.

The majority of players are as a poor as the performances are showing though.

He's just gone passed my window on a skate board with a yellow and green top hat on his head.

No, but I can't currently envisage a scenario where he gets the sack any time soon either.

Even Lambert hasn’t thought it and has seemingly actively been trying to get himself out of the hot seat for the best past of 10 months.

Probably running late to catch an open-top bus.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

We'll win the next 2 home games, of course, but then lose to Sunderland.

And no doubt we'll lose to Hull, Portsmouth and Peterborough later in the season, in other words, any of the decent 'expected' top 6 sides, so on that basis we'll finish 7th or lower, so no he's not the man for the job for sure.

I know it shouldn’t matter, but I bet Norwich are pissing themselves, evans must be jinxed, because it’s been a slow decline into the football abyss since he came..

That performance was back to last season sadly, just no hope soon as we go behind. No, I certainly feel PL isn’t the man to take us forward, but ME will do his usual and allow things to drift along without being proactive, we just have no threat against the better sides and you can see this continuing. Also, it firms up to me that after an encouraging start and improved displays that our players are reverting back to type and aren’t as good as what many think they are especially against the better sides when our supposed superiority should make a difference. Showing heart, desire and pride isn’t instilled by the manager, that comes from within and we seem to have quite a few that lack these characteristics.

No, he can go now. Like I have said before, criticizing when we had the start we did, just makes you look a bit of a d1ck, so now is the right time.

I’ve criticised the odd player, but been quite consistent in saying although we’ve had a good start, the football has been poor at times, some of the results have been very flattering to be fair.

I absolutely thought he should have been sacked in the summer, last season was pathetic. However it would be an extremely strange and unlikely decision to sack him now. Long term though i agree he's definitely not the man to take us forward.

Football fans can be very fickle and I count myself in that, but Lambert is definitely not the man for us.

I agree, however I would go as far to say, Ipswich fans are some of the least fickle, and give the manager time, that time has sadly run out for lambert IMO.

Me either, unless he walks. And he's never walked from a job ever I think.

Give comments from O'Neill about the lack of cash, I don't see anyway that ME will end up in a situation that he has to pay compensation.

Unless there is some kind of break clause in the 5 year contract?

Even if the compensation isn't prohibitive (and it would seem beyond ridiculous if Evans put himself in that position), he'll probably get a pass as long as we're somewhere near the Top 6, which we probably will be now until some time in December.
