Thought the first half was meh and then it warmed up a bit.
But maybe it was meh in comparison to Harris’ speech before his that had me and my wife both with very leaky eyes. She spoke as well as Obama does and I thought she was outstanding.
But then - anyone able to coherently string a few words together was such a welcome change.

After everything he's been through - tragic loss of his first wife and baby; then the loss of his adult son from cancer - not to mention two previous shots at the Presidency, being Obama's supportive right-hand man, becoming POTUS being his boyhood dream - it really is rather a heartwarming story that he's finally made it, as well as obviously a relief to all decent people that Trump's been given the boot.
Fantastic role model too - never give up, keep trying for your dream, and you can make it. Same goes for Kamala Harris and her speech - superb. |  |
