I don't think the result on Saturday is relevant at all. If this was a performance related issue, it has gone way beyond it. The sticking point surely has to be contract related. |  |

No, Shrewsbury will be the final straw. Defeat against an unglamorous and small team (even by L1 standards) will what cause Evans to sack Lambert. Plus Evans had had a dislike for Shrewsbury for making Hurst look good. | | | |

Lose Saturday and the whole thing is largely redundant really. The new manager would have to turn us from mid-table fodder into 2-points-a-game-league-champions form overnight, even to sneak us into the play-offs. |  |
