Line of Duty: S6 Preview and Easter eggs (Spoilery Maybe?) 18:18 - Mar 10 with 3302 viewswkj

This video is actually incredibly well done. At one point in the reel there is a magazine cover with a QR code on it that actually shows more hints with more easter eggs on it. Very David Lynch.

QR URL directs to a google doc with an AC12 memo http://bit.ly/3uS3yI7?r=qr

A friend of mine who is heavily steganography also noticed that there is a link to a prescription with morse code on it.

No clue how good the season is going to be, but as far as teasers/previews go, this was remarkably fun.

Can someone explain to me why this show is so popular? It’s just a routine police procedural
What was the other thing he made, The Bodyguard? That was absolutely terrible.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Horses for courses innit - I didn't watch Game of Thrones but apparently that did rather well - until they screwed it up.

It's incredibly 'tight-arsed' isn't it? If real police life is as regimented and humourless as that, I'm glad I chose a life of crime. Enjoyable watch but.

Because it isn't. That's sort of the whole point.

You're getting confused with Whitney Houston.

My better half watches this. I watched a series (1 or 2, can't remember) and it was actually pretty well done for an identikit police drama. It was captivating enough to keep me engaged for the season, which is a rarity (she's just started watching Bloodlands, which had me laughing at how wooden the scripting was within about 10 mins).

I do enjoy watching Line of Duty and am looking forward to the new series/season.

In layman terms what exactly is an Easter Egg in films and video games? One of those things I keep meaning to google but never really get round to actually doing that.

And the tension in the interview scenes is absolutely incredible, you could cut it with a knife - scenes like that have never been as long or bettered - the last one with the DCC must have been 10 mins or more?

Basically hidden elements in a reel or game that serve as clues or throwbacks to the show or other shows.

Like most things there is room for improvement.

I like the gist of the show but to be honest there has been an episode or 2 that had me shaking my head and I was surprised a scene or two got past editing.

I liked Luther but again, one or two things in there irritated me a bit.

But it [LoD] has been good value overall and your best bet if you don't like it is to not watch it really.

I pretty much love most shows Hugh Dunnit has been a part of

Whilst it clearly falls down in key credibilty / believability aspects, (the very first scene shows a copper not willing to engage in a cover up ffs) it does rather brilliantly lead the viewer along in suspence of who did what and how will they be caught, if at all.

Only watched it recently but really enjoyed it.

I love it. Part of me wonders if it'd be better to "reboot" with a new set of characters in a different unit, or to dovetail in another of his stories, as the tying-in of minor characters from early seasons into the grand scheme can't go on forever, but there've been some absolutely superb moments.

Series 2 finished tonight & I realised I'd never seen the final episode before!

As you said, far from perfect - I mean why on earth didn't Lindsay Denton simply explain what had actually happened? ie that basically, she was trying to protect a 15 yr old - would have saved one helluva heap of trouble It was also likely that she had PTSD, so consideration would have been given for that.

Very gripping & enjoyable tho.
