Will be interesting to know what he makes of all of this If he really didn’t know anything at all.
Surely he had his suspicions the club could be sold?

He would have know before he joined this was going to happen so no different to what he felt last week.

Lambert made a joke about it all in his last interview so at the very least Cook had an indication a takeover was possible

Poll: Should Lambert be sacked today?

Not according to Phil.
Sounds like he wouldn’t be happy about a football structure shake up at the club.

Surely he must have known something was in the wind. Maybe that was why he mentioned last week about an exciting summer ahead. Deadwood out and new blood in for the start of the new season.

I agree. He would have known. Marcus would have told him of any possibility. Even if he comes out and says I didn’t know as Phil mentioned I don’t buy it. He would have been one of the very few to have known what was going on.

I struggle to believe that he knew nothing at all. He must of thought there was at least a chance of a takeover.

We're never going to know what was said in private conversations between Cook and Evans, at the end of the day.

Exactly. Imagine Cook would just act as though he wasn’t in the know.
He must of known.

he knew i think and may explain why he hasn't been clamouring a bit more for his former assistant to join (ie. he will be in the summer)

This.

He even sought assurances prior to joining...allegedly. He was firmly ME’s man, but I’m sure he’ll stay in charge to take us into next season. Hopefully the new owner(s) give him a decent budget to play with over the summer.

I’m sure he would have known and would have been sworn to secrecy for obvious reasons.

Me either.
If he knew literally nothing, then Marcus Evans is not the guy we are led to believe he is.

He knew, of course he did. All those comments about “and exciting summer” etc. All aimed at the takeover im sure. He obviously couldn’t come out and say it though.
