He wasn't injured, he came off as he had some tightness. Think it's clear KMc wanted to give all his players at least 60 mins of one of the cup games to keep them up to speed rather than giving them a fortnight off in which to lose their sharpness. |  | | |

I'd personally say Davis would be fresher without the minutes tonight. But we aren't talking about freshness.
Phil has a valid point regarding getting minutes into his legs before Friday, however I personally can't see the harm in a player having a mini break between games. But I'm no sports scientist so I'm probably wrong. | |
