Was wondering if that might have been the highest recorded in the group stage of the competition?

Quite. Everyone's keen to dismiss it now and reckons we should play our U12s. But wait until (if) we get to the semi/final stage. It'll be plastics galore.

I've always thought we should take every cup seriously. If we did get to the final it'd be the biggest game we've had for 7 years. Nobody would turn a day down at Wembley whatever the cup was called.

Never been to the new Wembley so I went when Southend got there in 2013. Think Southend sold about 30,000 tickets, most to non Southend supporters like me. Town would easily sell as many.

Agree, I remember feeling gutted for not getting to Wembley, when having seen off the Italians we were knocked out of the Anglo-Italian Cup by Porto Valei.

It may be a Tinpot competition but I see it as a chance to continue the feelgood factor that began when Gamechanger took over - especially if we reach the final.

Imagine if we draw a team unlikely to sell many tickets and we become the first club to take 45,000+ to the new Wembley. Could happen.

Would be good although would hope we do better than Southend did when I went. Their "support" dwarfed Crewe's but their team was outclassed on the pitch.
