I agree though, and I don't actually think it's unique to us. Some of the set pieces we've defended this season have been diabolical. Amazes me that at this level players cant reliably stick a decent corner into the box. Evans hit rate seems to be about 1 in 2.
It seems too cute IMO. Just get the ball into the danger area and see what Edmondson / Toto / Bonne can do with it. That's what we tended to do under MM, just a half decent ball and let the likes of Smith, Chambers, Berra, Murphy cause some problems, don't overcomplicate things. We seem to like this low drilled ball, with Bonne making his run to the front post, but it rarely comes off. |  |

I think Fraser's crosses are generally good, and agree about getting the ball into the danger area. Part of the problem is that the players all seem to group together in the middle and are too static. We need some of our better headers to attack the ball from a deeper position. |  | | |

We're a pretty small side really. Our left backs aren't the biggest and nor are our CMs. Bonne is decent in the air but the three behind him look like they're auditioning for a part in Snow White. | |
