We don't know much about him as a manager, so it doesn't seem like it would be a casual bet for most Town fans; it feels like either someone knows something and has lumped on - or someone is messing with the betting.
7/4 bet victor

2nd Niel Harris - 2/1 bet victor
3rd Niel Lennon- 5/1 bet victor

I can’t stress this enough, it’ll take literally less than £100 to move a BetVictor market on the next manager of a league 1 football team.

And once he got cut, people assume because it’s a random name that someone somewhere knows something and also throw money on and something called ‘the avalanche affect’ happens on a very small scale, continuing to move the market.

Not sure if anyone remembers my Chris Wilder bet on here a few months back? I told the forum to back him as next manager to leave at somethint like 7/1. Half an hour later he was 1/6. Plenty on here backed it as I had said to. And gone that same day. That was a proper gamble. I knew that from someone in my group chats brothers wife being friends with Wilders missus. Or something like that. That’s how quick genuine information spreads because people will get on it. If someone somewhere knew Bircham was getting the job, he would not be 7/4. He’d be comfortably odds on for a start. And it would be quick fast frequent cuts in a matter of minutes .

Two more things of note for a manager market:
- It’s been said before that a managers agent throws a few quid on his bloke to move the odds and get a bit of chatter going about his name and the manager being available.
- Sometimes bookies deliberately cut random managers for no apparent reason on the back of no information whatsoever to create their own ‘avalanche affect’ with customers believing once again someone somewhere knowing something.

No thanks, him and Lennon are gobsh1tes.

Going by how Norwoods off the pitch antics have been received by the board, I think Birchams current endeavor's would rule him out.

Up and mainly down, following Town since 88

I strongly suspect that any of the early runners listed are the result of fools making speculative bets, rather than genuine candidates.

Add to this his brief stint at Arizona United and its very easy for people to put 2 and 2 together.

Of course it might happen but Ashton is still sifting CVs so there can't be any def info

I think you’ve missed the point.

The point is that it’s the most tenuous link (I’ve exaggerated slightly with it anyway for affect) and yet I still heard and we were still able to move the market from 7/1 into 1/6 in half an hour. Because that’s how quick a market like this collapses when there’s legitimate information.

Bircham going into 7/4 is not a proper cut that suggests anyone anywhere actually knows something.

Don't worry, I got the gist of it. But, by the same token, Chris Evans would have been creaming himself at the link to Chris Wilder. Well played, despite the exaggeration.
