It is pretty much impossible to comprehend isn't it. Since posting this I have also watched a far right mayor of a Ukrainian town imploring his people to fight and reject the Russian demands to surrender.

Was hearing today of what sounded like plausible stories of people being racially targeted by Ukrainian border guards as they were trying to cross into Poland. There was quite an interesting piece on it on BBC Radio 5 live with a guy working to help Indian students get out of Ukraine. Crazy when you think of the scale of what’s going on that this should still be an issue. |  |

Unfortunately it is those who don't vote for them that would bother to check. That statement plays into their supporters' beliefs and they won't check because they already believe it to be true. We are swamped because we are a soft touch and we need a hardline foreign secretary like Patel to keep us safe from them. There are a lot of people I know who will still tell me that we are "full".
As for the Polish response, exemplary to us it may be but this article does suggest there are still faults in it. | |

Yes he can be sure about that. I'm not denying that this problem does exist but Poland was far more racist and xenophobic in the past than they are now.
