Seem to remember him saying there's scope for a couple more additions to the coaching team but he was OK with how it is at present but it will be something added to next season?

He said that he has the opportunity to add staff if he needs them. At the time he was asked he wanted to keep his team small and basically see how it went. It’s the right way round to do it in my view. To be honest, if you have a sensible sized squad, you don’t need hoards of coaches, I would have thought.

Pert seemed to be leading the discussion at one stage. Of course the eventual decision was McKenna's, but the benefit of having an experienced and trusted assistant is clear. It was not an obvious move at all, but both players and fans trust McKenna to get it right more often than not.

I thought it was the most logical move - we needed more strength in midfield; the gamble of going with such an attacking line up was starting to fail. Not sure if I would have substituted Pigott over Chaplin (at the time, obviously he had a role in the opener), admittedly, but bringing Bakinson on was always the right thing to do.
