Why does there need to be any drama? If it isn't health related he probably wants to advance his management career, and the new set up at Town may not offer any more opportunities in the short term.

Some people always wants to headline the outliers and not contemplate how the situation might apply to them. KD's earned his stripes as a U23 coach/manager - that is clear to see by the reaction from the players and colleagues yesterday - so does he wait around for a possible promotion following the installation of a brand new management team, or does he put his CV out there to progress to the next step? I know what I would do if faced with the same situation in a job.
