I think some of the pelters he's getting on here are a bit over the top. He had a mixed bag, made one and caused one. Put a few decent balls in, and saw him beat his man at one stage! Probably not worth pursuing as a signing however, definitely better out there |  |

I think it's a bit OTT. Certainly for the goal as the ball isn't actually that close to him and if he rushes into Power he's going to get beaten or make a challenge and risk a penalty.
For me, it wasn't that obvious. The fact that Power then moved the ball across himself very well and crossed for a goal made it look much worse.
And in hindsight, obviously he goes in and launches Power and the ball into touch. I think Thompson lacks in the attacking sense but I really think he's a pretty good defender overall.
Janoi is a class defender but he made two worse decisions in the match that were thankfully not punished. |  |
