Reading Brixton's thread.... 17:18 - May 24 with 1189 views | BanksterDebtSlave | It appears there are 2 types of people...those with homes and those with assets. Let's hope those assets take good care of us all when our planet can no longer function as our home.

Obviously a person's living place is a home first, but its natural to worry about huge financial decisions / commitments. I didn't spot any investors in that thread.

Reading Brixton's thread.... on 17:59 - May 24 with 1039 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | It’s a crumb thrown to us plebs. Perhaps you’d prefer a corrupt/privileged elite own out ‘assets’ instead ? I’ve tried the other way, housing associations are [allegedy] ripe with dodgy contracts, extortionate fees, and ‘preferred’ contractors and builders. [Post edited 24 May 2022 18:00]

Indeed. Almost as if bankster invented a position so he could rant about it.

Reading Brixton's thread.... on 18:58 - May 24 with 901 views | Sarge | There are at least two more types of people. Those with neither a home nor assets because they are having to spend all their money renting a house (not a home) and paying off some wealthier person’s second/third/fourth/nth mortgage. And also those (mostly) parasitic landlords receiving said money. [Post edited 24 May 2022 18:58]

I am a little confused about which category you are putting yourself in there!

While completely getting where you are coming from we have been renting what is definitely our home for the last twenty something years. We are lucky in this regard, have a low rent and could not afford to buy the property if it was for sale.

Not sure why you perceive a rant. That thread though has lots of folk talking about assets and it struck me as the same mindset that sees natural resources in the same way and consequently wrecked our planet. Congrats to Margaret T....kerrrrrrching!

What concerns me, and I might be being a bit naive here as long renting is more of a thing in Europe, but what happens when you reach an age where you're not earning? You have enough of a pension that will cover the rent as well as all the other living costs?
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

That’s quite a leap from people discussing the best way of putting a roof over their heads to destroying the planet.
