These 2 guys Jimmy and Stuart aren't half bad are they?

Not bad.
Keep on like this and they might have a future in the game.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Is there a better sight in cricket than Jimmy opening the bowling on an early summers day in England. We must treasure him while we can still enjoy him. GOAT

Indeed, helps taking catches too.

Bit of a demolition job. Three for Potts now.

Numbers here:

Good start, I agree with Sky commentary team that getting him on early after Broad and Anderson had taken wickets was sensible.

Stokes coming across very well in the pre-match interview that Sky are showing now.

There is a sense in which the only way is down from here!

Great start to his test career.

Remarkable that England's wicket-keeper didn't get to keep wicket for Colchester & E.Essex because N.Z.'s wicket-keeper did.

Talking of catches that was a good take by Foakes.

Carnage at Lord's. 15 wickets in the day and still 25 minutes left.

Same old batting frailties.
.for once the openers did ok, but since then been pony.

No one seems to want to be patient.

17..

In danger of a first innings deficit here. Quite ridiculous.

Players now want to be masters at the short form of the game. That's where the money is. We can't bat at test level yet at the short game we are brilliant. Sad to see really.

Completely different team for the one day game, except for Stokes, sometimes Bairstow and maybe Woakes when he is fit.

It was less than an hour ago that Root was batting beautifully and looking in good touch. Been really poor since probably let NZ back into the match a bit to get as many as 132.

Either way, doubt I’m getting much cricket on Saturday.

Potts and Jimmy bowled brilliantly.

Sadly, batsmen, not for the first time, were unable to capitalise.

Yes England’s batting frailties highlighted again, however a little credit to the NZ bowlers, they bowled some great stuff during that final session.

Once again our batting relies on whether Root gets an innings. We haven't had a decent score unless Root has been at the centre of it for a long time.
