In normal circumstances the PM does stay on until a new leadership contest is over. But this has gone somewhat further than 'normal circumstances' - the alternative is to select a caretaker to cover until the leader is selected. Rumour is that could be a Mrs T May. More likely to be Raab as he is the deputy. |  |
