Hundred Thread 18:58 - Aug 9 with 622 views | BlueandTruesince82 | Not sure if too many watch it but if anyone does. I like it as a format and having it on domestic TV must help raisen the profile of the game, good comms team, really enjoy Isa Guha, doesn't just trott out clichés. Great catch from Rooty.

Other half and I are big fans, got tickets to a few matches thus year, including the final. I do get the criticism of it, but as a vehicle to raise the profile of women's cricket, and bring families to the game, it's a fantastic success.

V good point the women game, I think it's raised the profile hugely. Looks like a lot of fun being in the crowd too

Watched a lot last year and liked it, I think coming off the back of the pandemic it made it even more of a breath of fresh air. Probably need to review the amount of T20 we play as well as this though. I thought there would be a few more of the top players than last year but doesn’t seem to be.

Hundred Thread on 19:17 - Aug 9 with 533 views | hatch | I watch it if it’s the only sport on but I’m a cricketing purist so give me Tests and ODIs all day. I’m an advocate of the concept of bringing in new younger fans and promoting the women’s game but I can’t get the same thrill or interest out of it personally. I’ve opted to travel 6 hours round trip to watch Hampshire v Northants today in an ODI on the Isle of Wight. Beautiful setting, good crowd and brilliant finish. Give me that over a hundred game anyday. Only catch is my 30 minute delayed return hovercraft to Portsmouth.

Hundred Thread on 19:32 - Aug 9 with 493 views | Churchman | I like it. I like all forms of the game and always have. Enjoyed playing it too, despite being a fairly rubbish club cricketer. Yes, test matches are great, as is the long form of the game at county level. I’d hope so given that I’ve attended the odd county game over the years including four this year as well as the odd test. Short form 50 over? Off to one Friday. 20/20? Great fun. There’s nothing wrong with these forms of the game. You can see a whole game in a few hours, have a beer or two, they attract good crowds and especially children. It’s fun. Ok it’s not purist cricket and some of my chums who are purists disagree with me and want nothing shorter than 20/20. For me, the Hundred? Why not. New rules that I think have been good, not least the time clock making teams get on with it. Anything that stimulates interest I think is good. I can see it replacing 20/20 possibly. The cricket calendar is a bit of a mess, but that can be sorted. Yes, I’m watching tonight. Trent Rockets have done well so far.
Hundred Thread on 08:16 - Aug 10 with 372 views | SaleAway | I don't mind it, but I don't see that it is gamechanging in any meaningful way. All they needed to do was put that amount of marketing/money into the T20 blast, bring a women's event along with it, and enforce the time limits, and they'd have something similar.
