Hungry kids on 11:05 - Sep 25 with 545 views | BrianTablet | Oh dear. What kind of a world is it where kids aren't happy sacrificing meals to fund bankers' bonuses? Greedy little tykes. [Post edited 25 Sep 2022 11:13]

Hungry kids on 12:00 - Sep 25 with 485 views | Mullet | Was called a liar on here for mentioning we had a family whose kids were stealing food, it's been moving from isolated cases to part of a much wider pattern. Kids on one meal a day or being fed the worst kind of food because it's the cheapest e.g. giant pizza slabs from the supermarket every night. The biggest problem is assuming food poverty leads to skinny pasty kids, many obese kids are in similar boats because they're stuffed full of calories over food if that makes sense. Blaming teacher pay rises whilst not emphasising they are unfunded and insultingly low will only cover it up so much. Makes me furious.

Breaks my heart. What sort of sick nation doesn’t give its kids the best chance in life? There’s only so much desperate parents can do if they’re broke. They have to have help. And the schools certainly need more help.

The unfunded pay rise was a viciously political move that shows the govt's priorities up clear as day. Keep doing the good work fella - it really make me question how I contribute myself. [Post edited 25 Sep 2022 12:16]

Shame I didn't see the git calling you a liar or would have happily had a pop. It's an awful situation but unfortunately not enough seem to care which is bizarre. SB
