Points per game - all 92 clubs 20:53 - Oct 29 with 2576 views | itfcjoe | 1. Arsenal - 2.55 2. Leyton Orient - 2.44 3. Man City - 2.42 4. Plymouth - 2.38 5. Ipswich - 2.18 6. Stevenage - 2.12 7. Spurs & Sheffield Wednesday - 2.00 Remember that only 4 teams in the 92 have a better record this season, and that for all the leads thrown away, and bad goals conceded, and frustrations that we are picking up more points than nearly every other team in the country. There aren’t major problems, there aren’t massive issues that need sorting - there are things we can improve on and KM will know this and be working his backside of to find ways to creep us up that table above Plymouth

We were incredibly solid last season, but struggled to score - we have changed it this year to release handbrake a bit and when you look at the stats it is working. Only Man City in the whole 92 have a better goal difference than us……even this week where we have lost 3no 2 goals leads over a game and a half we’ve still picked up 4 points from 2 away games which is a great return Not everything is a disaster, sometimes mad things just happen and today was one of those. At 4-3 in the 97th minute why is Morsy trying to score and losing the ball rather than slowing it down? Why does Walton forget how to be a goalkeeper from the first minute to the last? It happens - they are 2 top players who have been great for us and will be when today is forgotten about. [Post edited 29 Oct 2022 21:20]

Best post on here since the final whistle. We can be angry over the way two points were lost today without tearing up a team and style of play that has us - currently - on course for promotion. We were a minute away from it being a nine-point week, the second nine-point week in fairly quick succession. Big changes are NOT needed.

I don't believe these two players will have another day like today for some considerable time. When they do this in several matches is when it is time to start worrying.

What we all need after a day like today is some comfort and reassurance, and there is so much to be positive about from the first 17 games. We are ahead of schedule to where I anticipated us to be come the start of this season. We all just need to show a bit of calmness, perspective and faith in what is proving to be the most exciting season since the Royle era. Can people please stop wetting the bed with their negativity. These results happen, it’s not going to happen every week. Come the next league game, and come May, today’s freak result will be a distant memory.

I think he is a better defender than Leif Davis (who is fantastic from an attacking point of view), so it's a shame we can't bring him on in the latter stages of such games to shore up the defence.

Definitely agree re Leigh, Davis has generally been very good but to close out games and give him a break after he runs more than anyone else in the team, Leigh had been performing an important role - those balls to back post he defends very well and has a great leap and physicality

We have had a great start to the season, my concern however is Wednesday are close on our heels, it’s going to be very tight for automatic promotion this season. Days like today make me think we wouldn’t get through the play offs, those of us of a certain vintage know how mentally tough you need to be in those matches, and we for all the positives this season of which there are many, are a soft touch.

Had to down vote your post for the daft 'bed wetting' comment - don't think anyone is doing that, most people are just a bit peed-off that we let a 2-goal lead slip...twice. I think it's our defence that needs to show a bit of calmness - wasn't Keogh on at 4-2? Surely he should be doing that. Still, it's an away point at a ground not many will win at, now I've calmed down a bit, I'll take that, but as others have said, let's hope we don't regret this come May.

And McKenna said the reason we conceded how we did was down to 'emotion' so why do we have issues mentally? Where's the strength to deal with these situations?

Or alternatively we can identify the issue now and work on developing the mentally and professionalism required. We are also clear in second while having that failing. If we can eradicate it, we should have no fear of being in the play-offs at all. Whenever nodge go up they seem to spend most of their matches scoring in the final 15 minutes. It is something that suggests fitness, tactical adaptivity and general mentality are superior to the opposition. Interestingly it is something they do not show once up.

We were too emotional, maybe somewhat understandable in the circumstances today. It’s easy for us to say we should have done xy and z, but those 2 goals for us the players were buzzing. Think we really need a 10 who can look after the ball better as Chaplin and Harness are athletic finishers who’s skill set is better off the ball. That and a striker are still areas we need to look at imo.
