Hladky has the Burnley replay, another solid display there keeps the pressure on, this is also good for Walton. He now knows he needs to get his game back to where it was to keep his place in the side, he’s got genuine competition for that No1 spot.

Hladky was very good against Burnley. I have no idea what he was doing positionally (it's on the highlights) when he is Miles out of his box and has to go sprinting back and make a flying save. Good have good very badly. Really poor positioning there which if punished would have got a lot of flack for. That's a keepers life - fine margins. Walton has made 2-3 mistakes his year which cost goals. But he's a class.keeper at this level and level above to be honest.

Indeed. He also took his time on the ball whenever he got it. He always played it just in time or got fouled but the one where he chose to beat their player would have been a disaster if he had got it wrong. I thought he was much better than when he last played regularly for us but still not as good as Walton has been whenever I have watched him. That said, I seem to be in the minority and others I went with and on here suggest Hladky had a very good game.

Hladky was rather good today wasn’t he? on 21:30 - Jan 29 with 1213 views | FrimleyBlue | Personally, if we're seeing defenders coming back in, new signings being played etc. there's no reason not to give Hladky a chance on Saturday. If now isn't the time to give Hladky a run, when will it be? Walton hasn't been great at all this season. If we're to see our defenders being pressed higher each week as seen against Plymouth and Oxford, then we need a GK who can act as another ball player with the defenders.

Hladky was rather good today wasn’t he? on 08:01 - Jan 30 with 1012 views | textbackup | He looks better than Walton with his feet to me. But Walton cemented his place in the team because of his match winning saves…. Something he no longer does.
