I thought he worked hard, fought for everything and when he lost the ball, scampered to get it back. Just needs a goal and was unlucky today not to get at least one. |  |

McKenna signed Hirst on loan, probably for a decent loan fee & wages so I think he feels under pressure to start him. He was better today but hasn't ever looked convincingly better than Ladapo. |  |

Hirst battled really well today. The MK defence was really packed, and we have struggled all season against packed defences. For such a tall guy, he has really quick feet, and two or three times, he managed to wriggle around and nick the ball out from under the feet of 2 defenders, creating enough space to have a shot, or make a pass. I thought it was a great centre forward performance. He and Ladapo both have great attributes, and I'm sure he will grab a(nother) goal very soon. [Post edited 25 Feb 2023 19:35]
