In a strange way, Wednesday being pulled back into the battle would be useful

Yeah with a draw, fine, but really don't want Barnsley on an electric run now.

Problem.is they have Forest Green next which is a guaranteed 3 points so they will have a 6 point lead once they have played same amount. With their fixtures that will be too much.

Should we fear anyone at the moment?

I don't know much about Barnsley but what is quite clear is they have pace upfront, that's something few teams seem to have at this level

Perhaps you're less fearful than me, but I'm more worried about Barnsley than the other two right now.

They're the form horse and really flying, Plymouth seem to be relentless but it would nice to see both Wednesday and Plymouth stumble, it gives a better chance of that top two

Plymouth were 8th in the form table (of last 6) before k/o tonight.

Gonna have to work out how to somehow keep fingers crossed whilst still doing chores for the next 2 months ...

Edit - sorry, misread your post and thought you were talking about Barnsley.

As things stand in the live table, Barnsley have played one game fewer than Town and are currently three points and 12 goals behind. Edit: If they beat Exeter, they will still be below us on GD, barring something extraordinary.

I said a little while people jumping to conclusions I said about 42 / 43 games in we will have a idea our time under Burley should tell us that.

There is only one good outcome from tonight. Barnsley sheff wed draw and Plymouth lose. Not going to happen.

I would take Plymouth drawing at this point.

Barnsley running into form , and closing that gap , meaning we need to win our next game away at Derby . Thank god we have momentum ..,,, but will we still have that in 2weeks time with no games?

It’s possible, doesn’t sound like they are playing that well, also Bolton off injured.

The only Muff in Town.

I don't think our recent success is down to momentum, so much as good players, a very effective system and the ability to overpower the opposition. That doesn't go away in two weeks of extra training time.

I’m praying you’re right, really I am. But I think we’ll lose our match sharpness snd intensity. I suppose we’ll know by the time we play Derby, with others having played their games, what we have to do. But I suspect the mindset in the squad, is very much , we’re going for the win!

It's effectively only a one-matchday lay-off, not like weeks out with an injury. If we lose our sharpness in such a short time, then something is very wrong with training.

I’d rather Wednesday win, get Barnsley out of the way and concentrate on Plymouth.

Would like a draw in both these games.

Really don’t want Barnsley to win thier games in hand.

Can I ask why people seem to prefer a Plymouth draw over a Plymouth lose?

Aren't we the form team?

7 clean sheets in a row, with 6 wins in a row.

I’d say most teams would be worried about facing us now. Especially after a 2 week rest before the 8 game slog in April

Anyone thinking Barnsley winning is a good thing needs a serious head wobble. Mathematically and statistically Plymouth followed by Barnsley are the biggest threats for a auto spot. Therefore it has to be better for them to lose over any other team....it's not even a debate.

As for the Plymouth game paid a 10 spot to watch it on their ifollow and they really are a lower standard than us.......which all your xg data etc would back up. Boo hoo what a bad night.
