There may be some substance in this or maybe not. My take is that maybe a few current Town players are being tracked by either Championship teams near the top or mid to lower Premier League and that providing the sums are in Town's favour they will be allowed to move on and that's why we are tracking possible replacements ? Alternatively it's a load of guff. How many players did we actually get in the January window that were supposed targets. probably none. Most of those incoming, especially the one's we bought had little or no coverage until the deals were virtually over the line. | | | |

I imagine he would be seen as a relatively cheap punt to come in and compete with Clarke (if there's anything in it at all). One thing seems pretty sure and that's him leaving Exeter.
I wonder if Clarke's future might be in the middle anyway. He seems to have all the attributes to be a very good CB, he's big and strong, quick, good on the ball, good in the air. Having that versatility does mean if we found a right sided Leif Davis it wouldn't necessarily mean Clarke misses out. | |
