when will there be some news? 06:00 - Jul 11 with 3466 views | LegendofthePhoenix | Understand that the signings will take time because Prem teams only returned to training a week ago and need to assess players before selling or loaning out. But its 3 1/2 weeks until the Champ season kicks off, and no tickets are on sale. No information about memberships. No information about Ipswich Town TV. It's like we are in a news blackout.

That's a bit late to buy tickets, accommodation, trains for Sunderland away. And I have to go and set up either Town TV, or Sky sports for my old Dad who lives 170 miles away, and I'm going to see him next week. If there are difficulties, the club should at least keep us informed of what the hold up is, and the dates when we should see things, cos then we can plan our lives around them.

It'll be Sky Sports for the Sunderland game, unless I'm mistaken. Don't think Town can just stream it themselves, at least not in the UK.

Yeah, the Sunderland game is definitely on Sky Sports. But Sky have only announced the Championship games for the first weekend of the season. It's just leaving things very late to set up - my Dad doesn't have Sky, so need to either order it and get installed, or Town TV, but there wont be time now for the match(es) in August. And it may not be necessary depending on Town TV. Last year set him up with iFollow.

You can just get a pass for NowTV for your dad, if you need, for the Sunderland game. Dead easy.

Tickets need to be released by Sunderland. The game is on sky. You can get a now tv pass for the day. How long in advance are the tickets normally released? It’s about now isn’t it? | | | | Login to get fewer ads
when will there be some news? on 08:58 - Jul 11 with 2870 views | TalkingBlues | Don’t care much about the other bits, but we desperately need 3 or 4 quality players through the door and the chances of that happening are rapidly diminishing. Looking more and more like we’ll be scrapping it out for a couple of Prem youngsters on loan (where is Rak Sakyi? Please don’t let that go the way of Simms) and a panic signing on the day the window closes.

As you are visiting could you not find a pub local to him that has Sky Sports and is showing the match ? You could even buy him a pint...

Thanks all for your suggestions. Sadly my old Dad can't get to a pub, he's too frail. Now TV is a real possibility, but if I can get Town TV and get it on a VPN for him that would be amazing. I guess lots of people would want that, but old folk get lost with anything technical, so need to be able to do it via his TV remote control.

Sorry, I should have taken that possibility into account. And with moderate hearing loss I find the first thing I look for in a remote control is the subtitles, a Sky remote always seems to have the options buried deep within its menus so even a remote control can confuse me at times.

On the SkyQ remote just press the ? button when on a channel and it gives you the subtitles option.

when will there be some news? on 13:15 - Jul 11 with 2237 views | J2BLUE | Guessing Town TV and memberships are linked to increase revenue. Instead of £30 for silver membership maybe it will be £70 and come with access to Town tv (excluding games) etc. Purely speculating. Someone else mentioned it maybe being linked to the app so I would imagine once we get some news we will get a lot of news.

when will there be some news? on 09:07 - Jul 19 with 1716 views | LegendofthePhoenix | Giving this a bump, as although we've now got the Membership scheme available, still no news on Town TV, and still no tickets on sale for the first match which is just over 2 weeks away. I assume that there must have been some sort of technical or commercial hitch in getting Town TV announced, but have to say it's disappointing that ITFC have made no information available at all. Ashton out.

Sunderland haven’t announced ticket details yet for their own fans for the first game of the season, what makes you think of they don’t know we should?
