Playing really well against extremely strong opposition 13:51 - Jul 28 with 3347 viewsunstableblue

Morsy, Baggot and Wolf standing out

Almost a howler from Hladky

Just think we need a bit more zip and movement in the final third, there defensive line is quite flat, so need a bit more creativity

But giving a really good account of ourselves

Makes me wonder if we will hang on to Baggott (rather than loan him out). He must be the type of player McKenna favours.

And on Tuesday, against Luton, he acquitted himself better than Edmundson.

Quite a mixed showing of calmness and panic.
Morsy. Wolfy. Bagott. Ball. Nice and calm.

The rest even chappers are panicking and not adjusting to the quick pressing.

a niche perspective

Pretty much agree with the standout players. We're playing some nice stuff, but you can see that we're missing a Luongo like player alongside Morsy. Harness is a great presser but lacks a bit on the passing front.

Baggott has been my standout.

Hutch looks like he'll be a fun watch this season.

Not sure if Chappers even had a touch in that half! Watch him score two now.

Hirst is playing pretty well too I think.

Yes him and Chaplin not looking as sharp as usual, Morsy and Baggott been the pick of our lads. Good test so far though and handling it well, just need to be a little more crisp in possession when we do have it.

Yes I think Baggot and Humphreys will be the two youths who remain at PR and feature in cup games, and provide cover.

I think both are good enough to play in the Championship now.

Baggot has the ability and physique to play at the highest level.

Better than when you watched him playing for Gillingham?

Considering that many of our "first 11" are missing, this is a really good showing. Burns on the right, Broady, Massimo, Walton between the sticks...our strongest team would be looking very tidy. Agree about Baggott, he looks, on this 30 minute showing, like he could be ready.

Poll: would you rather

Hes been quite good yes SB. Good to see. Showed some nice calmness facing his own goal at times. Hasn't hesitated with the balls into the box. Good to see.

Baggott and Wolfie in the centre would be the most cultured pairing we've had in decades.

Could Baggott step up if we don't manage to sign another CB in this window?

He could play up front based on that little step around at left back! Classy.

We've got to have a song based on (or just reproducing) 'Baggy Trousers' for Elkan, I think.

Not at all. It's shown he's improved. Good to see.

It does however highlight your need to pick a certain posters views to discuss rather than offering your views on the OP or other views from other posters.

But it's not like you've moaned before about my posts is it. Despite constantly bringing them up yourself :)

Hirst's touch has been a bit rough.. but then he'd just had two great moments.. then a super header from a great cross from Davis following good work from Morsy and I think Hutchison
