He played regularly for Arsenal and over 132 appearances for them and multiple England caps. We've just come up to the champ from L1. he'd be comfortably our best player and probably top 5 player in league.
I can understand say not rating him for England or something. But for us he'd be a superstar.
Doesn't really matter because we couldn't afford him. | |

I fully agree - why would we take a player who has extensive experience of playing at the highest level, played in different countries, won England caps and is a lot better than any of our midfielders. And is still only 25. Why would we want a player like that? |  | | |

Good player, if we we'rent stacked with good midfield options I would say he'd be worth a punt. Only downside is his mother crpped on his time here and is porbably still a factor. Can you image her ringing up Ashton and demanding he play? |  | | |

Can't dispute he would be a great addition player wise but can you imagine the salary that he would expect, especially as he was on a free transfer.
