I suppose the question is how good it needs to be?

Yes it needs to meet Premier League standards, but I assume it's been built with a much shorter lifespan in mind given that the new stadium isn't far off?

Some magnificent restricted views built in by design. Old school.

Probably a very short lifespan. A lot of those seats will have the floodlights interfering with the view and the seats at the back also look like they are restricted view seats.

Aren’t they moving to a new stadium?

I'd have thought videos of a stand burning down would be more to your taste.

Yes, it appears that they're likely to be moving in to in in about 2026.

Probably explains the design of the stand and the speed of the build. The primary consideration has clearly been the additional infrastructure such as floodlights and TV gantries, and the seating has probably been very much towards the bottom end of the list of requirements.

Ouch a bit harsh no? I thought we had accepted Ulla as a good poster despite their football allegiances? Doesn't engage in the Football threads, posting in the general ones.

Great job by the groundsman too - after having all that kit on the pitch for so long over the summer.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

The floodlights seem to be in the same location as before despite taking them out and putting them back in again, I assume they weren't planning to resight the connections but they're probably now modern and more energy efficient

If it's built wit RAAC it might just last until their new place is ready.
