That's quite a long trip as I believe the qualifying rounds are still regionalised. I don't know why they did away with the regionalisation of the 1st & 2nd rounds proper as there were so many positives:
More little local derbies. Billericay v Southend generates local interest; Billericay v Gateshead doesn't.
Bigger crowds.
Reduced travelling expenses for impoverished clubs & fans.
Reduced carbon footprint.

The regionalisation in non-league needs looking at. You've got Bishops Stortford in the Northern Conference. And Chelmsford were in the northern half of the draw for the FA Cup tomorrow, hence Chelmsford vs Whitby Town.

I'm not sure Chelmsford can be considered in the North.
