That's quite a long trip as I believe the qualifying rounds are still regionalised. I don't know why they did away with the regionalisation of the 1st & 2nd rounds proper as there were so many positives:
More little local derbies. Billericay v Southend generates local interest; Billericay v Gateshead doesn't.
Bigger crowds.
Reduced travelling expenses for impoverished clubs & fans.
