Dolly - been meaning to ask if you got anywhere with on 16:02 - Nov 14 with 1097 views | The_Flashing_Smile | Funny you should ask today, as we (me and my creative partner, both owed the same amount) just had a call with the business owner. We'd got as far as threatening legal action and as recommended on here that got him to respond (and set up the meeting). I obviously won't go into full details but it's a cashflow issue, where their client (who we were doing advertising ideas for) hasn't paid them. They're still their client, and are a huge pharma company so not in any financial difficulty themselves, it's just that they've had finance people take over who are delaying paying suppliers as long as possible. So we're down that chain. This agency is very small so it's a huge deal for them and he basically said until they get paid they have nothing in the account to pay us. He's suggesting a payment plan where they pay us what is owed in instalments. We're thinking this is probably the best route to go - at least we get something back now rather than waiting for the full amount as we have no idea how long that could be (if ever - particularly if they were to go under).

Genuine little story. Back in 2011 - a contract with a Nigerian employer had gone a bit haywire - they had sent me to work remotely in Dubai for a few months (Evacuated me from Lagos for my safety) Bloke I half knew was working out there in IT and was owed some money by a local businessman who was slow to pay. He asked if I could go along with him to a meeting - and to just pretend I was his muscle, a Russian named Igor. So I adopted the role (for a 10 minute meeting) - as you do. Fck knows what I'd have done if the business man had his own muscle and didn't fancy paying, and/or if he'd spoke Russian :-)

Ive heard of similar issue with big pharma companies, with one of my clients always being affected. Fingers crossed you can get some kind of agreement and at least begin to get back what you are owed

Good news you are getting some progress. Really frustrating when huge companies cause little ones so much grief! Good luck.

You’ve got the wrong end of the stick. Keno was talking about getting back the £70 you overpaid on bangers and mash
