Win tonight and it’s the biggest win of the season for me 14:05 - Dec 12 with 2678 views | N2_Blue | WBA was tough but I think tonight is our toughest game so far. Would be our biggest win based on their form and quality in the side and would make everyone look at us and say they ain’t going anywhere if they haven’t already Take a draw now if given it but if we can win will be huge, although have everything crossed it’s only our biggest win of the season for 72 hours or so!!

Win tonight and it’s the biggest win of the season for me on 14:14 - Dec 12 with 2471 views | BigCommon | We'll make our chances. We've just got to take them.. Agree that its a tough fixture. If we came home with a point, its a decent result.... Think we'd all have taken 4pts from Boro and Watford away..... But this team just doesn't stop amazing us.. Crucially, we have a manager that can work some "in game" magic.. So we'll be giving it a go , I'm sure.. No need for any melt downs if things don't go our way, either..

I am sure we can smash them if we are on our game, but there is the challenge, being on your game, relentlessly each game is not easy. All we can do is sing for 90 minutes as loudly as we can. If we do, we will give ourselves a decent chance whatever happens on the pitch.

Win tonight and it’s the biggest win of the season for me on 15:16 - Dec 12 with 2210 views | FrimleyBlue | I agree with you. Despite having a seriously good season. And only losing 2. We've not won games against sides in certain forms. We couldn't beat Rotherham who had good home form Couldn't beat brom who were on form (now not) And now we face watford who again have form.

Win tonight and it’s the biggest win of the season for me on 15:31 - Dec 12 with 2151 views | Vaughan8 | Yes Watford haven't lost in a while, but they've had a few draws. ALso last 5 games (3 w, 2 D) home games have been against Sheff Wed, Millwall, Rotherham, Norwich and Southampton. Only Southampton are really any good. Unlike in League one, if we don't turn up then any team in this league can beat us. If we do turn up, then it'll be difficult for teams to beat us.....! [Post edited 12 Dec 2023 15:32]

Win tonight and it’s the biggest win of the season for me on 16:42 - Dec 12 with 1953 views | Swansea_Blue | I'm not convinced about our chances tonight. But this could be a classic case of judging the name/expectation rather than the current Watford team itself. With parachute money they should be a in a position to challenge for promotion, but as has been said their home form is against relatively poor sides. They're a bit of an up and down side, so who knows how it'll play out. I'm not sure whether I'm imagining it, but KM seems to getting some early excuses in. Reverse psychology maybe?

Middlesborough were in decent form, they'd not long ago beaten Leicester. Hull were in decent form when we spanked them 3-0 (they'd won at Stoke and Leicester, drawn v Leeds and Cov, before playing us). We won at Sunderland on the opening day, who had been in the playoffs the previous season, though it's difficult to argue that as decent form when it's the opening game of the season. But seriously, why do we always need these nitpicking caveats? We've been nothing short of incredible. The only team who has been in better form than us we haven't played yet!

Well, here's a FACT for you smartypants. We've only beaten teams below us in the table. Eh eh. Brainfart your way out of THAT one, dickwad.

Not sure what the first game of the season has to do with anything bizarre. My point in the reply to the OP was the form of certain sides who we hadn't beaten.. Rotherham who had a solid home form. Watford appear to be another. We haven't cracked those types of form. No nitpicking going on. End of the day you're not going to win every game just saying in response to the OP why I'd be extra chuffed with a win tonight as it would be a win against a side who have been difficult to beat at home this season. But not surprised you're taking it as being overly negative when it's not.

We were outsiders vs WBA and significant outsiders vs Middlesbrough. However tonight we are clear favourites to win.

You said, "We've not won games against sides in certain forms." I've just shown you two of our wins were against in-form teams (first game of the season was just a throwaway comment). Repeating what you've already said doesn't make it any more true.

Yes. 'Certain forms'. Thought I'd made it clear I was talking about home forms when I mentioned rotherham and theirs. Plus brom and the fact we are away to Watford tonight

Middlesbrough's home form was decent. Their two home games before us were a 4-0 win v Preston and a 1-0 win v Leicester. Rotherham's home games before playing us were a 1-1 draw v Preston, a 1-2 loss to Bristol City, a 2-0 win v Coventry and a 1-1 draw v QPR. Hardly setting the world alight in comparison to Middlesbrough.

Hmm fair play. Was baseing in across the season so far rather than on the run up to the game itself. But still good result that boro one then more than I had thought.
