European Super League may be back on in the near future. on 19:43 - Dec 21 with 1276 views | _clive_baker_ | A part of me hates it, hates what it stands for and thinks it goes against the principles of the meritocratic football pyramid (at least the previous proposal did, no idea if they’ll change that). But a part of me thinks feck it, let them go and let the dirty money follow it. And when it goes pop don’t let them back, feck ‘em.

Their new proposal is for 3 male and 2 female divisions with promotion and relegation.

European Super League may be back on in the near future. on 21:07 - Dec 21 with 1148 views | Bramidan | Let these so called super clubs go play with themselves. Watching some of the football is pretty boring. I see the proposal is free to view games, no doubt so they can claim what a success it is by the numbers of those who watch. Obviously relying on advertising money otherwise where do the funds come from?

European Super League may be back on in the near future. on 22:59 - Dec 21 with 1010 views | FrankMarshall | There are a few clubs (those that are in 50-60 million debt for example) and performing poorly that may consider this.

In theory at least. How do they form those inaugural three divisions, then decide how portion to 3rd one works? Status quo much better for at least an element of sporting integrity?

In other words, they are not far off replicating the existing system, with a few tweaks.

But then they are in control of it and can gradually shape it to what they want, which is essentially a closed shop.

If the powers that be banned all LIV players from Majors, then perhaps not so many would have jumped ship. If FIFA & UEFA ban anyone in that league from all their competitions, then I don't think many players would be willing to go. Could be wrong, money talks more these days, but I wouldn't give up playing for my Country just to add to my already considerable bank balance.

The 4 golf majors are each run by different, independent organisations, not the PGA or DP World Tour. Why would they want to devalue their own championships by excluding some of the best players in the world, just to help the US PGA Tour maintain its near monopoly?
