I really hope there is truth in this.
Delap can of course play as a centre forward, and with his back to goal, but can also play as a 10, & very impressively as a right sided attacker, either as part of a front 3 or in a 4-2-3-1. He is so strong, direct & clever, and is still young.
He would benefit massively from working under McKenna.
We need a complete newly signed (full contract) front 4 to compliment Hirst, Broadhead, Chsplin & Burns; we already have Omari signed, & hopefully Philogene signs today; but we still need 2 more, a #9 (maybe 2) and a right sided attacker, with Omari being the #10. Delap's versatility woukd help greatly. | | | |
