Elkan Baggott 16:29 - Jul 8 with 3629 views | ITFC_RDM | Joining Lee Evans at Blackpool. Not sure if it’s a loan or permanent. You’d think it would be a loan.

He could also have Janoi Donacien there with him very soon as well, I believe.

Elkan Baggott on 17:49 - Aug 5 with 2116 views | Pique | Good move for him and us. McKenna trialled him as a backup left back in preseason, but it didn't really work. He's a centre back with a lot of traffic ahead of him, so another loan move seems about right. [Post edited 5 Aug 2024 18:02]

Has had a bit of a knock, which was why he wasn't involved in either game last week. Was in Germany though as I saw him on Saturday.

Seem to remember that he played left back in the early game before Townsend came in . I wonder if we might look to tie him in to a longer deal ?

May well do, although he's effectively got two years, so Town can bide their time and see how he does this season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Apparently just down to us needing left back cover, before we could let him go. The deal was agreed between the 2 before I posted this nearly a month ago. Janoi most likely destination as well, or so I was told last Wednesday.

Elkan Baggott on 09:44 - Aug 6 with 1401 views | tractorboy1978 | I really hope we've got assurances he plays and financial penalties in the deal if he doesn't. He really needs to play 40 games this season and to have a proper chance to kick on. Got all the tools, just needs to prove it. [Post edited 6 Aug 2024 9:45]

He's been with us for 4 years now and has just become a perpetual loanee. Given up hope of him ever breaking into the first team. I imagine we will just end up letting his contract run out and let him go.

May well have been the case, but I know he has been injured latterly. I didn't realise until I checked a couple of days ago that I reported Blackpool were trying to sign him on deadline day last summer.

Not sure it works like that. However, that is why I think a loan at the top of League 1 was probably a better idea than a Championship loan where he might not play as much. It is down to him to prove to his new manager that he is good enough to play every week.

He needs to stay fit and merit his opportunity when it's given to him. Blackpool are giving him the opportunity, but it's down to to him to stay in the side.
