From the moment I saw him in the tunnel I thought he looked like a man determined not to lose his place in the side and I hope he doesn't. Great to have an Ipswich lad and a link to the promotion sides in the team.

Plus it'll wind up Don Goodman.

It wasn't only his performance with and without the ball. It was his leadership on the park. He had a very good game today all round.

Sadly for Wolfie you don't sign a defender for £12mil to sit on the bench

KM won't select the team based on the most expensive play, he will pick it on best performers.

Let’s see.

We spent big money (for us at that time) on Taylor last year and he did just that. Mass was too good to drop.

Thought he was fantastic today. I’d quite like to see him keep his place there for the next game.

I think ges benefitting by playing in between two very good defenders. Very encouraging to see him finally stepping up, and true competition for places brings out the best in players. He's entering his prime now, so good on him.

Finally stepping up? What are you talking about? Woolfe was consistently good throughout last season.

Unless you are blaming him for us conceding a few goals against Haaland, Salah & co. in the first two games, but i'm sure that isn't the case as nobody would be that stupid.

I'd argue the season before as well. I was critical in the past of Wolfie's defensive capabilities but he has been absolutely instrumental in the two promotions.

The money won't make the blind bit of difference to KM. If he keeps playing like that he will start as we saw with Walton being left on the bench for the whole of last season.
