An hour and a half, maybe two hours at fairly low heat. * I used to like brisket, before it was "discovered" and became expensive. ** Haricot or flageolet. Never butter beans (urgh).

| Any recommended slow cooker recipes? on 20:26 - Oct 22 with 1440 views | soupytwist | I used to do this in the morning so it was ready when I came home from work: Cook onions and garlic in a frying pan until soft. Add to slow cooker with some chicken thigh fillets, chopped up sweet potato, carrots, a tin of tomatoes, bit of chicken stock if needed, seasoning and some ras el hanout. Cook on low or medium (depending on how much there is and how long you’re leaving it for). Serve with rice or crusty bread in the evening. A bit like this https://www.livinglou.com/slow but with ras el hanout instead of those individual spices. Edited to add: I reckon you could do this Nigel Slater thing I've just seen on the Guardian's website in a slow cooker once you've browned the chicken - https://www.theguardian.com/fo [Post edited 22 Oct 2024 20:38]

It includes some secret ingredients which I cannot divulge on here - suffice to say they were given to David by another Coronation Street actor, the late Jack Howarth.

We’ve had one for decades and it was especially useful when we were both working https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/col

Google is your friend and Keith Floyd did a big pot of cassoulet in one of his early shows - available on YouTube

'Pulled pork' by 'Plums'! You need to think of Keno's and my productivity when you go posting things like that!
