I remember driving back from his first game at Cheltenham thinking he’d be out by January. Fair play to him - living the dream
Cam Burgess - best player in the world on 08:06 - Nov 11 with 2308 views | BloomBlue | A few wayward passes, then again Greaves did worse against Villa, but I don't think Burgess missed a single header in that second half. He was immense

He could have been if Cook stayed - PC wanted to replace him in that first January with Chey Dunkley.....which was one of the reasons why the board decided to pull the trigger when he wanted players to replace his signings straight away

i remember when he had his first really good run of games in L1 and we played that midweek game against a decent bristol rovers side (or at least a well organised, hard nut to crack type team). He was imperious, but it was the game where had had the really nasty facial injury and then had a lay off but fought his way back in again 6 or 8 games later

The thing about Cam is he makes winning everything in the air look so easy, some people take it for granted; one of the match-ups I was most looking forward to when we came up would have been watching him try to keep Haaland quiet, but unfortunately he missed out on that game. As we saw yesterday with Solanke, when teams have a physical centre forward they get very little change out of Cam - not just because of his own physicality, but through the experience of coming up against so many in League One / Championship. Obviously the ones we face now are of a higher standard, but the ability to clear the first ball makes such a difference - when the No.9 wins it too often (Antonio at West Ham being a good example) we put ourselves under pressure.

Barrow away, he had an absolute stinker. Since then he's hardly put a foot wrong. Aberdonian's are built different.

He had a stinker away at Wimbledon earlier on this season as well. Both of their goals were usually something he deals with in his sleep. He was very good yesterday.

Hmmm.... for balance, I don't think our CBs won anything against Calvert-Lewin a couple of weeks ago. I love Burgess though, he's been absolutely incredible. I thought he was a head it and kick it CB to get us out of league 1 with those physical teams... he's so much better than that, and looks to be able to play at this level.

You think? Greaves and O'Shea for me are showing head and shoulders above Woolfy for me, and Tuanzebe at CB should be branded on the teamsheet template. And Johnson has proven enough the past two games to be the starting RWB. I worried about him earlier in the season but in McKenna I should always trust
