Website says 29,673 which was the capacity last season.
PL handbook says 29,813.

It's pretty standard, but not very many rows so perhaps wider than some and has gantry bit in the middle which is often elsewhere in other grounds. |  | | |

Understand your point entirely but it’s surely wider than that depending on the terminology used surely?!
Tickets sold = only purchased tickets by fans (excludes the complimentary tickets for families, staff and press)
Capacity = The amount of seats in stadium (include subs bench, stewards seats, press, also areas left empty to segregation etc))
Attendance = everyone in the stadium (so also including concession workers, stewards etc)
I’m pretty sure it was always meant to reflect tickets sold but suspect it various between clubs | | | |

Depends. Is the capacity a capacity of tickets available for purchase or capacity of persons allowed within the stadium bowl.
If its the latter then they do count

I have no strong view on this. But what about stewards? They are also in attendance. Or should it only be a bum on a seat? (including wheelchairs, of course)
The thing I do have strong views about is that our official attendance is never that close to capacity even though there are many of us who can't get tickets for love nor money. It's very disheartening to see numerous clubs ahead of us in those annoying online graphics about what percentage of each ground is full for home games. |  | | |
